Hello All,

As we all know that the Taper has been on, despite newly appointed Fed Chair - Yellen, who has been pretty dovish for USD overall. US Dollar had tumble few months back when Larry Summer stepped out and it became apparent that Yellen would be the next Chair. Market reacted '$ negative' quite significantly.

Now, big question is - will the Taper continue or Yellen would play strong role in slowing the pace of tapering? Or perhaps, even pause it for a period of time? How will this effect seemingly good outlook of USD in year 2014?

On the other hand, as Fed's Lacker, last week hinted that if the data came out strongly positive then there is likely hood of interest rate hike by the end of 2014 as well. With this interest rate hike expectation, will dollar enjoy the same rally like GBP did in the second half of 2013? If it did, what will be the outlook?

Many questions unanswered. And, as we are stepping further into year 2014, we should start getting answers one after another. Things should get much more clearer after major events take place towards the end of this week, ie. ECB rate decision, BOE rate decision, and the biggest catalyst Non farm Payroll.

I wish you all the aspiring traders (like myself) and professional & experienced traders out their, a very Happy New Year and may you all have a very Profitable Year 2014.

Gud Luck!
Anil.
