Nastia's post reviving - 10 kilometers of walking on a sunny day.
Here's the introduction from me...

And off we go...
Map first (the initial route is changed - link) - I started from my home to the old Belgrade fort then back home through less known routes. The program doesn't recognize some of the roads I took (actually, crossing the railway is not on ANY map), so it is displayed as a little over 11 kilometers. I'm in the bottom right corner...

First stop - flower exhibition in the park. Every Friday to Sunday there is the show where people bring flower and pottery to sell. After you continue walking, you can see the street art on every available place.

Belgrade is full of old buildings, mostly from the beginning of the century. Those who survived one of 44 complete destructions of the town. You can just walk in the town center and enjoy all those tiny details that emerge like the best surprise on your way through the 8000 long history of the town.

After you enter the pedestrian zone, you can get lost in the shops, restaurants, coffee shops... which most people do. Here's some fashion police material - I love the 'Golden' style of that guy - shoes, hat and clothes perfectly matched :P

This is one sample of the architecture in the pedestrian zone. Before coming to Belgrade, some basic Wikipedia knowledge might help you soak in the actual spirit of the town, from prehistorical periods, through centuries of wars, and finally after the 2nd world war post modern and socialistic architecture in it.
I love this coffee shop - with umbrellas hanging over your head in all colors.

Here are some tiny details you find around you when you lift your head up from the road.

The last two pictures are my personal touches to the story. 'The Greek Queen' (Грчка краљица) was one of my favorite pastry shops back in the good old days where you could eat some awesome sweets. Now it is closed. And the last picture is the Academy of Art, where i used to go out at night for years and years.
This is the end of the 3,5 kilometers. I think you had enough of miles today.
