Berlin Station is called "Innovation Station". Practically there is no standardized components. The building is a collection of unique items, many of which require special permission. Particular attention is paid to detail in the project.

For blind passengers there are mounted ribbed plates to the floor at exits and on moving escalator handrails - metal plates, which can determine a number of rail track labeled Braille or number to touch.

The rails are laid on a solid concrete foundation, not on a traditional gravel, causing rumble arriving trains almost unheard of: they produce only light background noise due to higher smoothness.

In the project also provided a variant of catastrophe: in the case of derailment, train automatically goes to extra rails and compact concrete walls will make it impossible to drop heavy wagons on an adjacent rail.

Trains, weighing several tons, cause fewer vibrations than usual thanks to depreciation of the railway. Therefore, buildings of the government quarter and Potsdamer Platz not shake continually of arriving trains.
