These series of posts are based on Miss Dukascopy prizes for the Winner #1. It’s a small dream of mine where I will introduce some basic info that is interesting and useful to know about each of the fashion/jewellery designers from the prize fund list. Also I will share my opinion of what I’d love to have from this designer in my personal collection if I win this contest (that's my favourite part ).

VERSACE

Story of Versace

Versace (or Gianni Versace S.p.A.) is an Italian fashion company and trade name founded by Gianni Versace in 1978. Gianni Versace was killed on July 15, 1997. His sister Donatella Versace, formerly vice-president, then stepped in as creative director of Versace. There are several lines that make up Versace: Atelier Versace, Versace Couture, Versace Sports, Versace Home Collection, Versace Jeans Couture, Versace Collection, Young Versace and Versus. In addition to clothing and accessories, it also operates a hotel, the Palazzo Versace.

Versace is unique among Italian fashion houses due to its frequent use of a celebrity "face" for the House in advertisements. The contract provides for the use of the celebrity's image, and in return, the celebrity is paid both monetarily and with free Versace clothing. Madonna, for example, was paid $10.5m and given free Versace clothes for 2 years for her contribution to Versace advertising campaign in 2005.

My vision:

I can say I want to become a celebrity so Versace can give me their clothes for free and millions $$$ like in Madonnas case )

Besides that I really love their last collection. When I’ve started to explore their offer I actually saved many many photos from their fashion shows as all the items were so beautiful! If I’ll be a winner I’m going to spend a lot of time in THIS shop and Miss Dukascopy prize budget of $7 300 can be even not enough for me I’d definitely get something of these lovely items:
