Today is a lovely Sunday with lots of sunshine and a festive mood, so I would like to welcome you... to my face. Bare, not polished, without a drop of make up (no eyebrow tattoos or add-on lashes) and even a zit on my chin. I'm a human just like you and I love to treat my face with make-up free days and lots, LOTS of moisturizing. So this Sunday is one of those, when I am without any make up, drinking lots of water and enjoying plenty of moisturizing masks.


Dermatologists say that a "skin diet" can bring you more youthful, healthier looks. So why not give it a try?


According to skincare experts, going completely make-up free for two (consecutive or non-consecutive) days a week can result in younger, healthier looking skin in under a month. Dermatologists explain that going make-up free for a few (minimum 2) days a week helps promote skin cell turnover, which means the faster formation of new cells. Allowing skin cells to re-generate gives rise to a more youthful, glowing complexion.

1. Rinse!
Wash off your face well. After a long day your face has seen a lot: let it be make up, dust or sun. Dermatologists recommend washing it with a gentle foam, best if it contains natural oils and/or chamomile. Avoid washing your face too often, though (2x a day is more than enough). I'd suggest a fragrance-free cleanser to avoid dryness.

2. Scrub!
Try a home-made scrub: honey + sugar. It's sticky and yummy and cleanses your pores really well. Remember: the days you are giving yourself to be without make up should also be the days you care about your face skin most. Give it a go, clean your pores and let your face "rest".

3. Moisturize!
Recognize and know your skin type well. Is it dry? Or perhaps of a mixed type? Oily? Acne-prone? For the best results choose facial cream based on your skin type. Now, as the sun has gotten a bit brighter, don't forget to apply sunscreen along with your moisturizer - take care of your face!


Day 11 accomplished: went to gym (1,5 hours), drank more than 2 liters of water, ate plenty of veggies and fruits and a second day without make up... Yay!
