Do not think that your phone is just your private area. After all, today there is no technology without vulnerabilities.
To still reduce the risk of hacking a smartphone, I decided to find out, first, how the phone can crack, secondly, how to determine that the phone was hacked, and thirdly, how to protect it from it.

  • The easiest way is to grab the phone for a few minutes and install spyware, for example Spy Phone App, Spyzie, Theonespy, Spyera.
  • Through an unprotected network of Wi-Fi in the cafe or at the airport. Yes, it's that easy. Thus, you provide all your unencrypted traffic for everyone to see.
  • When you connect your phone to an unfamiliar USB port (even in an airplane or car) there is a risk of accidentally merging all your data, because in addition to power supply, information can also be transmitted.
  • SMS-phishing - when you send a message with a link that you unwittingly open, because there is supposedly a report from your bank, money transfer or your photo. After downloading the file, you literally give the contents of your phone to hackers.
  • With the help of the SS7 signaling protocol, which is used by most telephone stations in the world, hackers can listen to you, locate, transfer money, etc. But if you are not a media person, you should not worry.

  1. The device suddenly began to discharge rapidly. This may be because the phone has launched an uncontrolled application.
  2. The phone heats up (not when talking or using it, but in standby mode) is another sign that some kind of program is working in the device.
  3. The phone itself reboots, turns off, dials numbers, launches programs. If this is not an operating system failure, then, probably, a wiretap.
  4. Unknown numbers in the call log.
  5. I can not turn off the phone: instead of turning off the gadget starts to open different applications, turn on the backlight and so on.
  6. If suddenly in familiar places with a new phone began to appear interference or echo during a conversation.

  • If you receive a message with a link where you do not see the full URL, do not open it.
  • If you charge the phone through an unfamiliar computer, select "Power only" when connected.
  • Do not use the password-remembering mode.
  • Disable automatic connection of the device to Wi-Fi-points. Choose networks manually.
  • More about Wi-Fi-points: Avoid access points with suspicious names like FreeInternet, wifiFree. It is better to give preference to points protected by passwords, for example, if you are in a cafe.
  • Do not make purchases and money transfers in a public Wi-Fi network.
  • If you have Android, install a reliable antivirus.
  • And of course, set the password on your phone.
