When it comes to practice about going green, I can say I must be the representative of living a green life. Don’t you believe it?

I have participated in an eco-product design contest in Hong Kong 3 years ago. The product we invented was a water saving functional tooth-brush called “Tersus” and my team were the 2nd runner up of the contest because of our creative and environmentally friendly concept

See the prize giving ceremony? The happy smile on our faces (That was 2011 ... OMG 3 years ago, I look so …. old school)

I was delegated as the representative of Hong Kong going to Taiwan for an exchange tour. It was about learning the great eco-practices from Taiwanese residents and had some conference with the authority about how green practices could be achieved effectively. The tour was a great experience for me, and I did a lot of innovative green actions that you have never imagined!!

Was I cooking and preparing green-meal with that chopping knife and funkier pose? No, wrong guess. What I was doing is turning the leftover food (must be veggie or fruits) into compost! By cutting them into piece and add some yeast then waited for like 2 weeks, an organic fertilizer is done! This green practice is super cool by 2 means. One can help reduce the food wasted which maybe add burden to the landfill. Second is to create the fertilizer in a natural way with no chemical used!! Great job, nicely done

The picture showing me with the big shovel and a pile of soil is the finished compost! Just nourish the plants with this eco- fertilizer, yeah!!!

After the eco-practice exchange tour, I have been interviewed by some press and media sharing what I have learned, experience and personal feeling towards going green. Just feel free to read some of the extract on the magazine.

Yep, Nicole (N) is me. As a eco-activist, I hope to spread the green message and allowing more people go on a more green life
