Day 21: The Finish Line

And here it is: the last, the final, the most waited day of Dukascopy Marathon!
Here's a short summary of the things I've achieved within those 21 days:
1. Minimized my fat & sugar consumption
Instead, I decided to stick to low-calorie, fulfilling meals. For snacks I was choosing nuts, berries and seeds instead of sugary buns or chocolates.
2. Instead of taking a bus to work, I chose bike
Within 21 days I managed to bike 2.7x2x21 = 113 kilometers!
3. Improved my running speed

Day 19: Gym Gym Gym

After finishing 10 kilometers yesterday I thought I should give a little bit of a break for my legs. That, however, did not stop me from sports: I still went to the gym, ran 2 kilometers (as a warm up) and continued the training with exercises focused on my upper body - back, chest and arms.
I feel that fully focusing and dedicating one training to my lower body allows me to achieve better results in running as I tend to stretch and "prepare" muscles in that way. As for the upper part - always h…

Day 16: Pumpin' Up Those Muscles

Today was a lovely Friday - bright and sunshiny unlike the other days this week. Having religiously followed Dukascopy marathon for 15 days in a row today was not an exception either - so right after finishing my (this time - late) working day around 7pm I headed to the gym to pump those muscles.
Going for a run quite often I came to realization that my arms are not the strongest part of my body, so I should focus on triceps in particular.

Day 6: Pushing Your Boundaries & Enjoying

I love challenges. Mental, physical and a mixture of both. The working time is usually intensive, requiring good concentration abilities and the result, obviously, is rewarding – after all, that’s something you waited for, wanted and managed to achieve!
