Why Germans Are So Rude?

According to the stereotypes, Germans are first to grab the sunbeds, incapable of cracking a smile and rarely say "thank you".
In an attempt to dispel these myths and to fight back, Germany has launched a series of videos explaining where the misconceptions arise from and how to do business in the country.
Germany is the euro zone's largest economy and the world's second biggest exporter, making it an attractive and important country with which to do business.
The Goethe Institute, Germany's c…

7 Unexpected Ways to Improve Your Life!

As someone who has recently starting seeing a massage therapist more often than her own family, I can personally attest to the dangers of being a professional sitter. Yes, I already knew I needed to stand up more, but is sadly harder to put into practice than it should be-but what other habits can you put into place for a longer, healthier life? So, here it is: 7 Unexpected Ways to Improve Your Life!

1. Lower your bedroom temperature
: Even if it's not the most comfortable thing to do…

Get richer, die younger!

We all live longer when times are good, right?
Not so, according to a new study which says that in developed countries, the elderly have a higher mortality rate when the economy goes into higher gear.
Studies show that in the long term, economic prosperity is credited with lower mortality rates across all age groups -- largely due to a drop in old-age mortality.
But the picture changes when you look at short-term economic fluctuations, according to the study which appears in the Journal of Epide…

Yes, in years of prosperity one is more likely to die by being hit by a car, rather than from a stroke. Hmmmm, statistic is like a bikini, shows everything and hides everything :)

The stress is called silent death, it is associated with coronary artery disease than with an evil habit d flife (fast food, tobacco, alcholol and lack of exercise) causes a high mortality.
This is called "quality of life" and in industrialized countries is increasingly worse.

It is alarming how many people I know die young, maybe for lack of time to take care or pollution, for bad feeding,or not physical exercise, but mostly I think it is the rhythm of life... so fast

Why Wait to get the New iPhone?

Have you ever seen huge, long lines of people waiting to get their IPhone? Have you ever wondered why would anyone wait for hours or even days to get the phone? Why are they breaking down the doors for phones they can buy online or can walk in and get at the
store later in the day? Why are people sleeping on the streets to get phones that have been updated with just a couple of new impressive features? I did little research and here is why:
1. They are really worried they won't get th

Dark Secrets of Your Therapist.

I came across this interesting (and truthful) article about therapy and therapists. I agree with it and thought it’s worth sharing. In a nutshell, the person on the couch isn’t the only one with problems. Your therapist will never tell you: 1.“Your childhood was bad? Wait till you see your bill.” Among those who seek psychological help in the U.S., 40% undergo therapy with a social worker, psychiatrist or psychologist. All that talk doesn’t come cheap. There is no set charge, but therapis…

annatimone avatar

Yes, well America is a very capitalistic (or business driven) country and Americans are very much into therapy. To the point that it became a business and it’s definitely a bit profit making business. Once you go down that path with therapists, they definitely know how to milk you. I agree with you. To me, it’s very foreign concept.

What makes people happy?

I found a key to happiness and I would like to share it with you. Ok. Ok. Not really, but I wish I could!!!! I did, however, came across an interesting study that’s worth sharing. Here it is: People’s personalities generally fall into two traits or theories: extraverts and introverts. Extraverts tend to have outgoing, talkative, energetic behavior and tend to thrive off of interaction with other people. Introverts, on the other hand, tend to have more reserved and solitary behavior and prefer s…

I know I'm introvert! ... in some life situation! :)

:) I think most people fall somewhere in between extraverts and introverts. These two personality types are extremes. But generally, I think it’s true. Socializing with people (especially with the right people) does make you happier, more energized and emotionally more satisfied. If you don’t mind sharing, in what life situations are you an introvert?

Nadin5794 avatar

Интраверты это люди очень деятельные ,поэтому их нужно оберегать,экстраверты люди шумные,их деятельность часто нуждается в корректировке,на мой взгляд для трейдера важнее качества интраверта

annatimone avatar

That’s a good question. Who makes a better trader, introvert or extravert? I know portfolio managers are usually introverts and, as you said, probably the same applies to traders.
