21 February - FOMC Meeting Minutes Ahead !!

Hi traders,
Right now - EURUSD is below 1.06.
This shows dollar is strong ahead of this Fed meeting minutes.
Federal Reserve policy meeting will be released on 22-02-2017 (Wednesday) i.e tomorrow.
Market will take clues on Fed's possible move on upcoming 15th March interest rate decision meeting.
So, will Fed hold the interest rate or raise ??
Yellen said delaying rate increases could leave the Fed's policy making committee behind the curve.

04/01 - Dollar Index in focus !!

Friends,
Dollar index is a measure of the US currency against a basket of its peers.
It hit 103.82, the highest level since December 2002.
That's a 14 year high !!!!
Also, today's scheduled Fed minutes could throw light on the pace of interest-rate hikes.
I think outcome of minutes will consolidate hawkish tones in favor of USD.
So, It would be unwise to go against USD right now.
I have a USDZAR long at 13.63 - with TP at 13.86 target.

I took a short on GBPJPY @ 145.81.
I have a TP = 144.5 with SL = 145.9
I foresee UK Sterling’s sharp weakening to continue in the wake of the continued post- Brexit unpreparedness.
Also, Thursday's UK Services PMI will decide further course of price action.

5th September - Monday's low liquidity & irregular volatility !!

Hi All,
Friday's NFP job data was a good but not great number with the US adding 151,000 jobs and the unemployment rate remaining unchanged at 4.8 percent while markets in the US remain closed today. US banks will be closed in observance of Labor Day.
So, I expect ranging markets with low liquidity and irregular volatility- nothing exciting to trade on Monday.

Hi All,
Last week focus was on the US Non-farm payrolls Friday for clues about the chances of a Federal Reserve rate hike soon.
Positive ADP job data at 177K on Wednesday showed labour market strength.
So, all eye's were on Friday's NFP job data to confirm labour market strength seen in ADP job data release.
But actual data of 151K against expectation of 180K new jobs in Friday's Non-farm payroll data showed labour market weakness.
This should make USD bulls take a breather !!
