USDJPY PRICE FORECAST FOR 2ND JANUARY 2014

Since July 2014 USDJPY pushed higher around 1800 pips and based on Monthly charts there is no real resistance until 122.00 level. I am expecting price to hit this level in next two to three weeks and then a retracement back into 120.00 level.

Update 1: As predicted the monthly resistance around 121.80 to 122.00 zone held and acted as resistance and price dropped around 600 pips towards 115.50 level, where we saw profit taking by sellers and buyers taking price up once again. Price is back again at 122.50 to 122.80 zone which is an important H4 supply zone, but there is no instant reaction yet from this zone. It would be interesting to see how price react in next few days.

UPDATE 2: We finally saw some selling interest at 1.2080 level which is a H4 supply zone and price dropped around 70 pips towards 1.2000 level. Since then price remain in a tight consolidation range of about 35 pips. The weekly close price is 120.33 which is about 33 pips above my predicted price of 1.2000. In next few days, I am expecting another retest of 119.60 to 120.00 zone.

UPDATE 3: Price retested the H4 supply zone at 120.70 to 120.80 where we saw heavy selling and price dropped around 180 pips. However, 118.75 was a historical SR level which acted as support and price retraced around 60 pips. Current price is 119.43 which is about 57 pips below my target of 1.2000.

UPDATE 4: We have seen lot of buying interest on first trading day of the month and USDJPY and the 120.00 level was breached and price moved higher towards 120.50 level. Final closing price on USDJPY was 120.48 which is about 48 pips higher than my predicted target. I am pretty pleased with this prediction considering the monthly range was around 650 pips, so not a bad prediction in the end.

Update 1: Since start of July USDJPY remain in 120 pips range. However, with FOMC news event before end of month expecting price to breakout of this range. Preferably to upside and towards my target.

Update 2: As predicted price broke out of consolidation and daily resistance at 102.25 and hit 103.00 level. With just 1 day to go, expecting price to remain close to my target of 103.00

Update 3: This is one of my best prediction this month, as price finally closed about 3.9 pips below my target of 103.00.

Update 1: Price is about 30 pips below Monthly open price and last 3 days price remained in a 55 pips range and as such next week I am expecting price to break support level at 101.28 level.

Update: Price didn't quite reach daily demand zone at 100.50 and instead found buyers at 101.20 level and price pushed up towards daily supply zone at 104.00. Price is currently about 85 pips shy of my target.

Update: It's been interesting month on this pair from price action point of view as USDJPY went 250 pips up and then the whole move was retraced and again price went up and pretty close to my target of 103.00

Update 1: At the beginning of month we have seen a drop into 100.75 level which held price up again and since then we have seen consolidated price action on this pair. 102.75 to 103.00 level is acting is resistance for now. I am expecting price to revisit monthly lows at 100.75 level this week.

Update 2: As expected 102.75 level held and price was pushed down hard by sellers. At present price is about 80 pips above my target of 101.00 and I expect continuation of selling in next couple of days, as there is no buying interest and technical barrier to hold price up.

Update 3: In last couple of days we have seen mixed reaction as both buyers and sellers defended their levels and price remain unchanged since my last update and currently about 73 pips above my target of 101.00. Hopefully we could see some selling when market opens on Monday.

Update 4 (Final Update): We have seen market gapped down on Monday open and price continued down momentum and currently about 23 pips above my target of 101.00

Update: Since beginning of month 105.30 area acted as resistance. At the beginning of this week we have seen some having selling into daily demand zone at 103.00 where we have seen buyers taking control and price heading up and closing the week at 104.30. I am expecting another attempt or retest of 105.30 level next week and an imminent breakout to the upside.

Update: Daily resistance at 103.70 is holding price for now. However, we are seeing series of higher highs and higher lows close to this resistance, which is a sign of a breakout pattern.

Update 2: This week we have witnessed another buying spree towards 105.00 level. I don't see any major resistance before this level, so expecting price to reach there pretty soon.

Update 3: As expected price broke 105.00 level this week and currently 65 pips shy of my target of 105.798. From the technical perspective there is no real resistance before 106.00 level, so expecting price to reach my target in coming week.

Update 1: Price had a bullish run up to psychological level of 100.00 during first 4 days of the week, where we saw heavy selling interest on Friday. I am expecting further bearish price action on this pair in the coming week taking it down at least up to 0.9700 level.

UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 23RD 2013: As expected price reacted to daily demand zone between 96.00 - 95.80 and had a bullish run up to 99.00 level. I am expecting price to drop around 100 to 125 pips towards newly formed daily demand zone between 97.50 to 97.75 and then continue it's bullish run up to my target of 100.50. Currently price is around 190 pips shy of my target and I am expecting price to reach it before September 2nd.
