Hi traders and beauties,

Let's today talk about EURO - sole currency of 19 EU member states.

I recently came across this book - "EuroTragedy: A Drama in Nine Acts".

It analyses euro's complicated political origins and what its future might look like.

The author of this book is a Professor in International Economic Policy at the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University.

Since, I trade EUR pairs - EURUSD/EURCHF/EURJPY - it was on my reading list.

I would like to share the book's conclusion.

It highlights that the Euro is pushing countries further away from each other politically & economically. Author Ashoka Mody asks for pushing stronger nations (Germany, Netherlands, Finland) out of the Euro. He believes that this would shrink and push the Euro down, making South Europe's debt easier to pay off. It will boost both exports and real productive investment.

Taking a clue from the book, my own prediction is that after the euro crisis and Brexit, Poland and Italy could open up new fissures within the EU. and this could be a major trigger for price action for EUR pairs.

Cheerio !!
