The US dollar rose against the yen in early Asian session turnover. The exchange rate peaked at 107.90.

At the beginning of the European session gains are being consolidated near the 107.50 area, where the 20-hour SMA is located at (107.49).

Another push lower would likely lead the exchange rate towards the 107 - 107.20 area, where the 55-hour SMA and the lower boundary of the hourly Bollinger bands are both located at. Slightly below the previous mentioned range, lies a more significant rationale figure, which is likely to generate demand, the weekly pivot point at 106.93.

On the other hand, the upper boundary of the hourly Bollinger bands is located at 107.94 and above it lies weekly R1 at 108.33.
