Hello!
Do you remember how you learned to read? And who taught you that? Share your storie with me, I would love to read it.
Not everyone remembers that though, but I do. I was 4 years old and I was about to take a bath (my favourite part of the week) and my dad sais that I can do it only after I learn how to read. And what do you think? I learned. That is what I call motivation.
And I loved to read. When I was 5, my teacher took our class to the library, and I took one book to read in home. But while others were still choosing books to take, I started to read. I read all the book in 15 minutes and I said to librarian that I already read this book and I want to take another. And she didn't believe me. She said that no one can read the book so fast.
But then I became their regular customer, and she get used to the fact that I was coming to the library for the portion of new books every day. She was helping me a lot, recommended books that she thought I would like. A couple of times she even borrowed me her own books.
But unfortunately, I was dedicating so much time to reading that my mom started to worry about my school successes. And she forbade me to take any more books from the library. She said that I could read only in summer, when there's no school. I was so sad and I wanted to read so much that I continued to take books from the library and hid them from mom. And do you know when I read them? At night, when my parents were asleep, I woke up at 1 am and sneaked to the kitchen and read all night sometimes till 7 am. Then I was going to bed to pretend that I was sleeping.
Ok, that was a little history, now my favourite books:
- The first book that came to mind is Hunger Games. But don't judge too quickly if you have already seen the movie. It is nothing like that. There are more details, more drama and more emotions.
- Divergent - in the same tone as Hunger Games. I just like that kind of books with strong women in the lead role. And love line as well.
- Also I read a lot of spanish books for my studies. And I don't know whether it is me being optimistic about things that I can't change or spanish literature is really very good but I like almost all their books. There are some of them:
- Juan Valera "Dona Luz" - I had to write a tesis based on this book. If it wasn't for my studies I swear I would never know about it, but believe me, it is worth reading. Little heads up - you are going to cry so prepare tissues. It's about a priest who falls in love. You should find out how it ends. What will he choose?
- Miguel de Unamuno "Niebla" - philosophical novel. Here the plot is not that important, but instead I wrote out of that book a hundred of quotes, and I had to reread each of them like ten times to get the ideas, which were very interesting. So if you like to think more than to read - this book is for you.
- Last book that I read was "5 hours with Mario". I think that this book should read everyone. Women - to look at yourself from the side and stop complaining all the time. And men - to realise that your fiancee does not complain that much.
And what was the last book that you read? What was it about? Did you like it?
