I recently lost weight and found this battle very hard. I was 65kg and this was my biggest I have ever been. Sure I looked good in mens' eyes but I felt physically more tired and I guess a little more clumsy. My bone structure is small so that's why it has a bad effect on me when I gain weight. I agree with body positivity because I agree with being positive in general and loving yourself. However I am concerned about it harming the perceptions of what is healthy and what is not. It's all good that you're happy in your own skin but if you have a certain amount of fat (if it's too much) then it's going to cause you a great deal of health problems. Curvy is fine and very beautiful but we have to be careful with the borderline because there is a certain limit which your body reaches from which it is physically impossible to lose weight. I don't know the stats but unfortunately this is fact. Therefore that's why I have a small fear about body positivity. I think it's ok to showcase plus size models for clothes but it has to be done in a careful manner. I think so far body positive image is done in a careful and beautiful manner and I am very glad and proud of this. My fear is only natural because we all feel it and I wish for my future child to live in a good society where they're unharmed by the media.
As for body hair I've always shaved because that's the social norm. However I only recently discovered sugaring and oh my god it's painful! But I guess like with any pain with time you can get used to it.
