AudUsd is looking to challenge long term downtrend
Looking at the weekly chart I see a long term downtrend:
Indicators (DiNapoli) and SMA's are pointing to bullish action, though
And a shorter term trendline seems to be leading the pair up to longer term downtrend upper border
On the daily chart it becomes more clear:
Here too, indicators are mostly bullish, and we can see price action playing out
I believe that longer term trendline will be tested and should hold at first

Pair is looking bullish now, after pushing above 0.76 (after RBA rate cut!) and staying above that level even after strong US data today - my target seems near now

Upper trendline has held the move up - as I predicted - probably a retest to come though, pair should be led slightly lower, as it is declining trendline, this means that 0.77 should be resistence now

UPDATE 1: SPECTACULAR PREDICTION. If we watch closely on the first chart we can see that the price level didnt only continue the bearish momentum as i expected but  it stoped exactly  were i said. I expected the pair to  encounter a strong support at the 1.4525 price level where whe have a strong support zone. As can bee seen now the price level stoped at that point ,retested the area and now is going  higher as i predicted it towards metting its target.

UPDTE 1: I am very happy with this prediction and if we take into consideration that there is only a 73 pips deviation and several days to go ,this prediction could become really accurate and of very good quality.

AUDUSD Analysis for 1st Week of February 2014

Here are my analysis and price action forecast for AUDUSD for 1st week of February 2014.
1) Weekly Chart: We can see that price broke a significant demand zone between 0.8840 - 0.8890 couple of weeks ago.
2) Daily Chart: Price retested this zone after breakout and in doing so created a nice supply zone on daily time frame and this zone is holding price for now. Overall trend on Daily looks bearish as price continues to make lower highs and lower lows and in doing so creating supply zones.

I'm with you on this trade, it seems that as we go further into the downside trend the volatility diminish itself.

For sure technical set up looks bearish, however Tuesday RBA rate statement could determine future price direction. If we look at another scenario, smart money could decide to short squeeze and take it all the way up to 90.00 level, if they think retail traders are heavily short.

In last COT report bullishness increased a lot and after checking Dukas COT chart I noticed that in this whole up move from 1,31 is alot of bulls and in last week candle there are more bulls than there were at 1,3711 high from 20130201 so are we really so bullish or lots of sheep are ready for shearing?
