USD pulled back a bit on Friday as trade war fears escalated, but it did well against commodity currencies. EUR struggled to hold its ground against JPY but managed to get gains against USD. I will be looking for a short-term sell position on EUR/USD.

JPY continues its rise as it took most of the anti-usd flow. Data also turned out stronger than expected. The risk-off trade is still in play. A further decline in USD/JPY is possible next week.

EUR/USD Analysis (Feb 16, 2018)

USD had another losing day but traders remained wary of fiscal risks. Data turned out mixed EUR gave up ground to most of its other rivals. Low-tier data was stronger than expected. Traders are careful in case currency appreciation starts hurting inflation.
I will be looking for another bullish setup next week.
