With just a couple of days to go to the end of the forecast period, my prediction is very close to the market levels. My fingers are crossed and hope it will make the grade. Very confident with this forecast.

The bull retakes control, is the bear waiting in ambush?

Everything appears to be back to normal in financial markets. Stock markets stabilized, VIX is back below 20, U.S. treasuries are being bought again, even the dollar is getting some traction. S&P 500 closed the week just above 61.8% retracement and is approaching the "what selling?" area above 2825. At the moment it looks like a V-correction, but I still think sellers are not done yet and will return near all time highs or earlier.

Are we on the verge of the Big Diversification?

S&P 500 is down about 10%, which is still well within the realms of a healthy market correction, though sellers do not appear to be done. According to Wall Street's rule of thumb, bull market officially ends when 20% is exceeded on a sustained basis. Bond yields are firm, which suggests investors are moving at least partly into cash.
Now, imagine if only a fraction of the 70T global stock market (nevermind 300T+ in other liquid assets) diversifies into digital assets. Cryptocurrency market capit…

I never thought about this and great assessment, which I doubt can be rebuttal or ignored for that matter. This possibly explains the rebound in the crypto currency prices going higher in the last few days of past week. Very good blog!

Weekend Review - Currencies and Indices

* The US Dollar slid down about 0.5% into this weeks end after spending the week at 6-month highs. The Buck appears to be gearing up to pullback around 1% before testing resistance so my stance is bearish with a 1-3 week outlook. * The Great British Pound traded in a tight range compared to the average since Brexit. Sterling started last week off plunging to annual lows and accumulated through the rest of the week. I'm bullish on the Pound with a very long-term outlook but I wouldn't doubt the b…

DAY 26 - S&P 500 ANALYSIS

We have seen quite a turnaround in US stocks this week and S&P 500 is expected to test resistance at 2111. If this resistance doesn't hold then it could go all the way upto 2134 level. Whereas 2063 could act as support on any retracement to this level.
While other economic growth in Euro zone, China & Japan remain subdued, US economic growth remain stable and expectations are high on another rate hike by Fed's in coming months, as such we could see lot of buying interest in US stocks in next fe…

Index of US

The S & P 500, is i…

Watch Your Six

It'll be a short week as many vacation deprived worker bees over in the U.S. are busy preparing for an extended 4th of July weekend. So expect low participation on the market front starting Wednesday and turning into a flatline on Thursday. Which unfortunately works against us this week as this is probably just the quiet before the storm. Since I was gone Friday I'll start this off with a wrap up of where we are followed by a few pointers on how to get positioned and of course some short term se…
